Our History
Birmingham Outreach Foundation was established in 2016 to provide hot food/drinks and other basic essential items to individuals in need in Birmingham and the surrounding area. The foundation was established as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) on May 26, 2016, and registered with the Charity Commission on August 15, 2016, with a charity number 1168778.
Since its establishment, the foundation has been working tirelessly to provide hot food/drinks and other essentials to those in need in the community. Every Friday evening, the foundation distributes free hot food/drinks to help those less fortunate and has been doing so for over 6years. Over the years, we have seen an increase in demand for hot food, as more and more individuals and families are unable to afford to make or heat their food.
Throughout our history, the foundation has been committed to reducing poverty and promoting social inclusion in Birmingham and the surrounding area. We have been serving and feeding over 100 needy and homeless people every Friday evening, and have helped thousands of people over the years.
One of the notable milestones of the foundation was the increase in demand for hot food from when we started six years ago to where we nowserveover100+ users in need. The number of individual users and families we now serve has increased, and so has the cost of the consumable goods we purchase and distribute every Friday evening.
