Running Cost

Birmingham Outreach Foundation is committed to providing hot food and other essential items to those in need in the community. We distribute these items every Friday evening and serve/feed over 100 needy/homeless people.

The cost of running the foundation is significant and increasing every year. The cost of our consumable goods, such as hot food, that we purchase from a local restaurant continues to increase. The same applies to all the other consumable goods that we purchase, such as tea bags, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, sandwiches, fruit, crisps, water bottles, fruit juices, chocolate, protein bars, doughnuts, spoons, cups, and cleaning sprays.

 

Our average cost per Friday evening is based on serving/feeding 100+ homeless/needy people:

  1. Hot food at £300
  2. Other consumable goods such as tea bags/coffee/hot chocolate, 2 x 3ltr milk bottles, 40 sandwiches, 60 bananas, 40 apples, 60 tangerines, 60 crisps bags,100 water bottles, 100 fruit juices cartons, 60 chocolate/ 60 protein bars, 60doughnuts, 100 spoons, 100 cups, cleaning sprays, which all costs over£100

Totaling over £400 per every Friday evening or over £1,600 per month.

It is important to note that these costs do not include the costs associated with running the foundation. We rely on the generosity of the trustees to cover these costs and to ensure that we can continue to provide hot food and other essential items to those in need in our community. In short, the running cost of the foundation is significant and increasing every year. We are appealing to the generosity of donors to cover these costs and to ensure that we can continue to provide hot food and other essential items to those in need in our community
